
ROBERT V WALLACE, JR.
PRESIDENT
Robert V. Wallace, Jr. has been actively involved in the real estate industry since 1993. During that time he has participated in the acquisition and financing of real estate assets with a valuation of over $1 billion. In addition, he has overseen the management and development of a real estate property portfolio and the asset management and servicing of a loan portfolio.
In 2000, Mr. Wallace formed Wallace Capital and Wallace Property Company. Wallace Capital is a boutique private finance company that has invested approximately $500 million in over 500 real estate finance transactions. These transactions include short term senior and subordinated debt, mezzanine debt, and preferred equity investments. Wallace Capital currently manages a portfolio of short term real estate loans and investments in various real estate joint ventures. Wallace Capital lends and invests in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut and New Hampshire. Wallace Property Company is a real estate investment and management company. Over the last twelve years Wallace Property Company has acquired over 100 multifamily, retail, industrial and office properties with an aggregate asset value of over $200 million. The investment transactions made by the Company were buy and hold purchases and development projects. The Company currently owns and manages a portfolio of residential and commercial properties located in New England.
Mr. Wallace began his real estate career as an analyst with Dean Witter Realty where he focused on capital raising activities for private real estate companies and the management of assets owned by Dean Witter and its investors. In 1996, Mr. Wallace joined AMB Property Corporation, as a member of their acquisitions team. While at AMB, Mr. Wallace worked on the acquisition of retail, office and industrial properties located in major east coast real estate markets. These transactions included ground-up developments and re-developments, investments in real estate operating companies and stabilized property purchases. In 1999, Mr. Wallace joined ML Capital, the investment banking subsidiary of the Boston based law firm Mintz Levin Cohn Ferris. At ML Capital, Mr. Wallace advised private real estate operating companies on equity joint ventures with pension funds, opportunity funds and various commercial and investment banks.
Mr. Wallace is a graduate of St. Sebastian’s School in Needham, MA and of Georgetown University in Washington, DC where he received a BSBA with a major in finance. Mr. Wallace resides in Wellesley, MA.
